Multidisciplinary Clinics

Lacks Cancer Center Tumor Boards

As part of our multidisciplinary expert care, The Lacks Cancer Center holds numerous Tumor Board meetings throughout each month to discuss the treatment of individual cancer patients entering our programs. Specialists from every area of care — body, mind and spirit — are present to discuss all details of patient care. Those in attendance include surgical oncologists, general surgeons, neurosurgeons, gynecologic oncologists, thoracic surgeons, medical oncologists, pulmonary medicine specialists, genetic counselor, clinical trial coordinators, navigators, radiation oncologists, nutritionists, nurses, pathologists, radiologists, urologists and cancer care specialists. It is the interaction between these specialists that allows us to make personalized treatment plans for each cancer patient. Our multidisciplinary approach offers highly comprehensive, coordinated cancer care for even the most complex cancers.

To take part in one of our Tumor Boards or medical professionals looking to schedule patient cases, please contact Dr. J. Stephen Ebrom, M.D. at 616-685-6269.
