The Lacks Cancer Center's Pain and Palliative Care Program offers patients and their families a variety of valuable supportive resources to help them cope with the side effects, symptoms and stresses of serious illness; and gives them guidance in making critical medical decisions.
Here, each patient has access to their own Palliative Care team of physicians, nurses, social workers, spiritual care providers, psychologists, pharmacists, dieticians, physical therapists and holistic practitioners. This focused team approach provides a customized, highly coordinated plan of care to meet the complex needs of those facing cancer treatment — at any stage.
Palliative Care is available to any patient of The Lacks Cancer Center regardless of age, stage of illness or inpatient/outpatient status.
